The port has cylindrical wells (1-i) surmounted on a cylindrical entry hatch (2), and placed in a subsoil of a water expanse (8) or stream bank. The well contains storage shelves for storing boats (4) at a dry dock placed in the well. A maintaining unit (5-iii) maintains the boats in a central access passage (7) of the wells, and permits transportation of the boats from a surface of the stream bank to the storage shelves. A programmable logic controller controls the maintaining unit. The well is formed by a cylindrical wall (10) closed at its upper end by a closing device (9). An independent claim is also included for a method for launching a boat stored in a dry port.
