The invention relates to a device (100) for hinging a luggage compartment door on a body (103a) of a motor vehicle, which comprises at least two hinge levers (104a) attached to the luggage compartment door and rotatably hinged on the body (103a) of the vehicle, between a first open position of the luggage compartment door and a second closed position of the luggage compartment door. A supporting member (108a) is secured to each hinge lever (104a) and is intended to support a first end (110a) of an associated balancing spring (111a), a second end of the balancing spring (111a) being attached to the luggage compartment door. Each supporting device (108a) comprises a supporting plate (113a) attached by riveting (118a) on the associated hinge lever (104a), and a supporting wire (114a) to which the end (110a) of the associated balancing spring (111a) is attached, said wire (114a) being welded (117a) to the supporting plate (113a) and being shaped such as to support the balancing spring (111a), during the passage of the luggage compartment door from the open position thereof to the closed position thereof and vice versa.
