The present invention relates to an electronic device recycling machine and its method of operation. The recycling machine includes a user interface for entering and viewing data about the electronic device and an opening for inserting the electronic device into the recycling machine. According to the invention, the recycling machine comprises: - packaging means for packaging the electronic device with a protective packaging, said packaging means comprising a packaging zone and a receiving plate of the electronic device placed in the packaging area, - conveying means for transferring the electronic device from the opening to the packaging area, and - a storage area for storing the packaged electronic device.
