Process for the preparation of polyurethane elastomers

A process for the production of polyurethane casting elastomers (I) comprises reaction of (A) an isocyanate component with (B) a polyolcomponent. (A) is a semi-prepolymer prepared by reaction of at least a polyisocyanate with at least a bifunctional polyetherol produced by addition of ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide to H-functional initiator substances. (B) is a compound having at least two reactive hydrogen atoms containing at least a polytetramethylene ether glycol. Independent claims are included for:- (1) Polyurethane casting elastomers (I); and (2) semi-prepolymers (A) having an NCO content of 10-25 wt.%.
