BIVALIRUDIN FOR THE PRESERVATION OF CELLULAR FUNCTIONALITY IN CLINICAL CELL THERAPY

The present invention relates to pharmaceutical preparations for cell therapy using nonembryonal stem cells which are suitable for stem cell therapy and, as the only coagulation-inhibitory component, at least one thrombin inhibitor which does not interfere with the SDF-1/CXCR4 signal pathway. Preferred in this context are bivalirudin, which is clinically approved, or other hirudin analogues. The present invention furthermore relates to the corresponding use of these thrombin inhibitors, in particular within the scope of cell therapy in cardiovascular diseases.
