The invention relates to a novel biomarker for the diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of early-onset colorectal cancer, the gene NOMO-1 or any of the expression products thereof. Thus, the invention also relates to an in vitro method of diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of early-onset colorectal cancer, in which said biomarker must be quantified in a biological sample containing tumour cells.
