PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled type vacuum cleaner with an increased dust collection capacity.;SOLUTION: A dimension 92 of a dust sensor unit is shorter than a dimension 93 of one end side of a duct 42. Specifically, a part of a distance for connection from a suction port to a main storage chamber 41, preferably being longer than a dimension 92, is formed by a dimension 93 on the one end side of the duct 42. Thus, a part of a dust case 4 can be arranged in an area from the suction port to the main storage chamber 41, so as to increase a capacity of the dust case 4. The duct 42 includes an erection part 421 forming the other end side of the duct 42, having a dimension 94, and vertically extending.
