PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Moire evaluation device and a Moire evaluation method, which can easily and accurately evaluate Moire of a measurement target.;SOLUTION: Moire evaluation device 1 comprises: a translucent member 3 having a reference pattern in proportional relation with a pixel arrangement pattern in a display panel; a projection optical system 4 using light passing through the reference pattern of the translucent member to project a pattern image of the same magnification as pixel arrangement pattern onto a first principal surface of a transparent measurement target; an imaging part 5 arranged on a second principal surface of the measurement target opposite the first principal surface, and imaging the second principal surface of the measurement target; an edge enhancement processing part 6 for performing processing for enhancing an edge generated by luminance change in the image imaged by the imaging part; and a Moire evaluation part 6 for evaluating Moire of the measurement target based on luminance distribution of the image with the edge enhanced by the edge enhancement processing part.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
