PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantification of photoprotective performance of packaging concept in an accelerated time frame.SOLUTION: By using a method, it is possible to generate models for prediction of photoprotective performance values of untested material on the basis of some other known qualitative or quantitative property. The method uses a light source which provides a light beam that is incident on the photoprotective material (28) and is then sent to a sample cell (44) containing a photosensitive element such as a photosensitive nutrient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
