PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel technique of quantify dead cells of microorganisms or inactivated viruses in a test sample.;SOLUTION: The method measures dead cells of microorganisms or inactivated viruses in a test sample using a digital PCR method and comprises: a step of preparing a sample to be measured in which a sample to be measured is prepared from the test sample; a step of measuring an amplification product involving the amplification of a target area of DNA or RNA of the dead cells of the microorganisms or the inactivated viruses in the sample to be measured by the digital PCR method and measuring the amplification product; and a quantification step of quantifying the amount of the dead cells of the microorganisms or the inactivated viruses on the basis of the measurement results.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
