PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management method for a firefly biotope in which an escape place enabling firefly larvae to escape from the light of the lighting is provided on the bottom of a waterway, and thereby light restriction measures can be avoided in the period when the firefly larvae grow in the waterway, consequently a problem on the crime prevention due to restriction of a light through four seasons or the problem of difficulty to obtain understanding of local residents when performing traffic regulation through the four seasons can be improved.;SOLUTION: A management method is provided for a firefly biotope 1 that has a waterway 3 to make firefly larvae 10 grow in a place lighted up by outdoor illumination at night.
