PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a search method of simply searching for necessary data, including an assembly structure, from a huge amount of three-dimensional CAD data stored in various formats.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional CAD data search method of specifying three-dimensional CAD data relating to a structure similar to a specific three-dimensional structure, from a data group formed of multiple pieces of three-dimensional CAD data includes: a step of converting three-dimensional CAD data into a three-dimensional model; a step of scanning the three-dimensional model from multiple directions to obtain a plurality of two-dimensional projection drawings; a step of converting another three-dimensional CAD data into a three-dimensional model, and scanning it so as to obtain a two-dimensional projection drawing indicating a three-dimensional structure to be searched, to obtain an object projection drawing; a step of selecting a two-dimensional projection drawing having the highest correlation with the object projection drawing, from among the obtained two-dimensional projection drawings; and a step of accessing the three-dimensional CAD data corresponding to the selected two-dimensional projection drawing, to display the three-dimensional CAD data as a search result.
