PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a connection structure of an oxide superconductive wire material capable of suppressing the resistance at a joint without impairing the functions of each layer of the oxide superconductive wire material.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a connection structure of an oxide superconductive wire material comprises: a step of preparing a first oxide superconductive wire material and a second oxide superconductive wire material that include intermediate layers, oxide superconductive layers and main protective layers containing Ag or Ag alloy on a tape-shaped substrate; a step of forming exposed areas of the oxide superconductive layers by removing the main protective layers at the tips of the first and second oxide superconductive wire materials; and a diffusion bonding step of diffusion bonding the oxide superconductive wire materials to each other by locally heating a part where the exposed areas overlap with each other by making the exposed areas of the first and second oxide superconductive wire materials face each other to abut against each other and irradiating a laser beam from the substrate side of the oxide superconductive wire material.
