The present invention related to colorimetric method for detection of Minimum biofilm Eradicating Concentration (MBEC) of selected antibiotics against bacterial pathogens. In present invention the colorimetric MTT method is found rapid for detection of Minimum biofilm eradicating concentration as it giving quick results in only 55h than the other three methods i.e. Tissue Culture Plate method, Test Tube and Calgary method that required 66 to 120 h. Thus the MTT method evaluated in the study is rapid and simple as compared to the conventional methods used for detection of MBEC. It gives 98% accurate results as compare with the reference method.
