METHOD FOR SUPPORTING A SPINNING ROTOR AND BEARING SYSTEM, SPINNING ROTOR AND SUPPORT BEARINGS

A method for supporting a spinning rotor (1), featuring a pot (3) and a shaft (4), of an open-end spinning device along with a corresponding bearing system, has two radial bearings (5) and at least one axial support bearing (6). At least one of the radial bearings (5) acts in an actively magnetic manner, and the spinning rotor (1) is supported axially by means of the axial support bearing (6) in such a manner that, on the one hand, an aerostatic air bearing and/or a mechanical starting element (16) and, on the other hand, a magnetic bearing are provided, which act against each other.
