The invention belongs to the field of mechanical engineering, more precisely to the field of cargo trailers for transport of various heavy loads, particularly harvested logs. The essence of the cargo trailer with the mechanism for moving wheel axles according to the invention is in that a tandem chassis with holders for wheels is mounted transversely to longitudinal parts of a chassis, wherein two hydraulic cylinders are mounted parallel to the longitudinal parts of the chassis, which through hydraulic, pneumatic, electrohydraulic and/or electro-pneumatic control move the tandem chassis with wheel holders forwards and/or backwards longitudinally along the chassis.
