Disclosed is the method of preparing ambulong (Metroxylon sagu Rottb.) cookies, comprising the steps of sifting the ambulong starch, mixing the ambulong starch with other dry ingredients such as wheat flour and baking powder, creaming the butter with sugar, adding egg, vanilla and rum to the butter mixture, incorporating dry ingredients to the butter mixture until thoroughly blended, dropping 1 teaspoon cookie mixture in an ungreased pan with a bite-size cookie in each drop, baking the cookies at 375oC for 10 minutes, packing the cookies in 16 oz cookie jar, sealing and then labeling the cookie jar.
