The invention relates to an excavator (B) or crane comprising a body (R) and an outrigger (AL) attached thereon, a drive system (M) for exerting a user-controlled torque (DMU) and a torque (DMS) superimposed on same from the body (R) of the excavator (B) or the crane to the outrigger (AL). In a watercraft according to the invention, a propeller of the watercraft takes over the stabilisation function of the outrigger.
