Provided is a method for acquiring usage information of human face-based extreme speed regulation technology, and a speed limitation system. The method comprises: recoding extreme vehicle speeds matching human faces; detecting a user's face when the user starts a vehicle; and determining an extreme vehicle speed matching the human face, setting the extreme vehicle speed, and sending technology usage data to a data acquisition end preset by the manufacturer. By presetting a matching relationship between human faces and extreme vehicle speeds and adjusting extreme vehicle speeds according to different users, the present invention enables a vehicle to adjust vehicle speeds according to different drivers, thereby improving the driving security, and implementing more intelligent vehicle security control; in addition, the manufacturer can also conveniently and effectively acquire usage information of the related technology in time.
