The invention relates to a protector for the body of a ski or snowboard, for covering the edge of the body so as to protect the edge and those elements that can come in contact with same. The protector comprises: an annular element (1a, 1b) having two end portions (11a, 11b) with a generally C-shaped cross section, which are intended to surround the front and rear ends of the body (T) of a ski or snowboard; and two or more elastic longitudinal portions (12), also having a generally C-shaped cross section, which are intended to cover the lateral edges of the body (T) and are attached by the ends thereof to the end portions (11a, 11b), closing the annular element (1a, 1b). The end portions (11b) can be made from a semi-rigid plastic or an elastic material.
