A method for molding a fiber-reinforced resin product, in which a molded article is molded from a resin sheet containing reinforced fibers, is provided with: a preform step of shaping a preform article (1) having a body part and collar parts (6) and (7) from a resin sheet; a setting step of setting the preform article (1) in a molding mold (10) so that ends (6A) and (7A) of the collar parts (6) and (7) face shear edge parts (40) and (41), respectively; a pressure molding step of pressure molding the preform article (1) using the molding mold (10); and a cutting step of cutting off the collar parts (6) and (7) after the pressurizing and molding step.
