Initiates the generation of photocatalytic color conversion of redox imaging nanomaterials for rewritable media. The new color conversion system is based on a photocatalytic oxidation-reduction reaction which is reversible in response to light irradiation and enables considerably faster color conversion. According to an exemplary embodiment, the color conversion system may comprise a photocatalyst and an imaging medium. With the aid of a photocatalyst, UV light irradiation can rapidly reduce the redox imaging nanomaterials and can entail obvious discoloration, while the resulting reduced system can be converted back to its original color state through visible light irradiation or heating in air conditions . The superior performance of the new color conversion system guarantees potential applications as attractive rewritable media to meet the increasing demands for sustainability and environmental protection.
