The present invention relates to a novel use of catechins for the prophylaxis or treatment of muscle disorders or muscle injuries, wherein a composition comprising catechin or a green tea extract as an active ingredient induces nuclear translocation of TAZ and activates TAZ to promote muscle differentiation, and inhibits lipid differentiation, thereby being usefully used for prevention or treatment of muscular diseases or muscle injuries.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
