Lb41 Novel Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain and compositions for the prevention and treatment of obesity containing the same

The present invention relates to Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain which is probiotics isolated from traditional fermented foods and a use of the same, and more specifically, to an anti-obesity use of the strain. According to the present invention, the Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain isolated from traditional fermented foods such as kimchi may be used as probiotics; may suppress fat accumulation in adipocytes; and when administered in a mouse model for high-fat diet-induced obesity, may show the effect of significantly decreasing body fat, and thus the Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain may be used as an active ingredient in a composition for preventing, treating and alleviating obesity.
