Lb41 Novel Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain and compositions for the prevention and treatment of obesity containing the same

The present invention relates to a novel Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain and a pharmaceutical composition including the same for preventing and treating obesity. More specifically, the present invention provides a Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain which is probiotics separated from traditionally fermented food and a use thereof, an anti-obesity use of the strain. The Lactobacillus plantarum Lb41 strain separated from traditionally fermented food such as Kimchi can be used as probiotics and also can be used as an active ingredient of the composition to prevent, treat and improve obesity by inhibiting fat accumulation in adipocytes and providing a significant body fat reduction effect when administered to a high fat diet-induced obese mouse model.
