Novel use of compound having anti-virulence activity and anti-biofilm formation activity

The present invention relates to a novel use of a compound having an antivirulence activity and a biofilm formation suppressing effect. More specifically, the present invention relates to a novel use of chemical formula I compound which has an antivirulence activity and a biofilm formation suppressing effect by hampering a gene promoter of outer membrane protein A (OmpA) which is protein having virulence in a virus. Since the compound of chemical formula I of the present invention does not have a direct bactericidal effect to a virulent virus and hampers expression of gene and protein of OmpA, the compound can be used as an antivirulence agent. In addition, the compound can suppress formation of a biofilm which is closely related to expression of OmpA, and consequently, can be effectively used to prevent and treat an infectious disease caused by infection of a virulent virus.
