The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating oral diseases, comprising D-tetrahydropalmatine, and more specifically, to a quasi-drug composition which is effective in preventing or alleviating dental cavities, periodontal diseases, tooth sensitivity, and bad breath. The composition of the present invention shows excellent antibacterial activities against bacteria causing dental cavities and periodontal diseases; suppresses a pain and inflammation marker, PGE2, in a concentration-dependent manner; and shows excellent effects in suppressing the formation of gingivitis, suppressing symptoms of tooth sensitivity, and eliminating bad breath, and thus finds useful applications as a quasi-drug composition for preventing or alleviating one or more oral diseases selected from the group consisting of dental cavities, periodontal diseases, tooth sensitivity, and bad breath. In addition, the composition of the present invention may be used as a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition.
