The invention is related to medicine and is designed to predict adverse reactions in sick or elderly people. The technical result is the obtaining of a short-term prediction of adverse reactions of the body of a person with any baseline vegetative state and specific individual biorhythm dominance characteristics of sympathetic or parasympathetic regulation. The goal is achieved by the fact that in the proposed method an assessment is periodically conducted for the onset of systemic desynchronosis of the body. To this end the ratio of heart rate to breathing rate is continuously monitored over a period of time exceeding the duration of transient processes in the heart and lung regulation circuits. Subsequently a histogram is plotted of the ratio of heart rate to breathing rate and a statistical analysis is carried out to establish the degree of skewness of the histogram compared to the patient norm, in the centre and along the edges of the histogram, using the Pearson coefficient of skewness. Based on the values of these indicators the possible onset or absence of an adverse body reaction can be predicted. The method is practically applicable in medical diagnostics and makes it possible to quickly and accurately predict the onset of adverse reactions in the body of a person.
