It is a light source module for generating a light sheet plane, is provided with a light sources module housing, a module housing within the light sources arranged light sheet flat generator for the influence of a light beam in such a way that outside of the light sources module housing, a light sheet plane is produced, and an exit surface of the light sources module housing, from which the light beam exits. The light source module can thus be produced extremely compact and opens up new possibilities for application of the light sheet plane micro copy individually or in combination with other microscopy.
