Lift unit (9) for a passenger boarding bridge (1), comprising - a cross member (5), - two elevating posts (15), mounted at two opposite ends (L, R) of the cross member (5), each elevating post (15) comprising a lower tube (16) and an upper tube (17), which can be telescoped by means of an actuating device (18), in particular a hydraulic device, the lower tube (16) is adapted to being supported by the cross member (5), the upper tube (17) is adapted to carry a tunnel (2) of the passenger boarding bridge (1), characterized in that the lift unit (9) is adapted, that tunnels (2) of various cross sections can be mounted to the lift unit (9).
