To provide a method for suppressing radioactive nuclide deposition on the carbon steel member of a nuclear power plant, enabling an effect of suppressing the radioactive nuclide deposition on the carbon steel member to be maintained for a long term.SOLUTION: The method for suppressing radioactive nuclide deposition on the carbon steel member of a nuclear power plant comprises: a step (S1) of connecting a coating forming apparatus to the carbon steel clarification piping of a BWR plant; a step (S2) of reductively decontaminating the clarification piping; a step (S3) of forming an oxalic acid nickel coating on the inner surface of the clarification piping using a coating formation aqueous solution formed by injecting a formic acid nickel aqueous solution into an oxalic acid aqueous solution and including nickel ions; a step (S5) of decomposing the formic acid and the oxalic acid; contacting an aqueous solution including platinum ions and a reducer formed by injecting platinum ions (S8) and injecting a reducer (S9) to the surface of the oxalic acid nickel coating to deposit platinum on the surface; a step (S13) of removing the coating forming apparatus from the clarification piping; and a (S14) of starting a nuclear power plant to contact furnace water including oxygen and having a temperature of 130°C or more with the coating having the deposited platinum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
