To provide a mobile communication terminal that combines an activation button with various operations and provides beneficial functions with only a simple pressing operation.SOLUTION: A mobile communication terminal 100 comprises: a display unit 110; and an activation button 120 that switches from a non-activation state in which the display unit is in an off state to an activation state in which the display unit is in an on state; when the activation button is pressed, it switches to the activation state, and then a predetermined operation is executed. A method includes: a step of sensing the activation button being pressed, which switches from the non-activation state in which the display unit is in an off state to the activation state in which the display unit is in an on state; and a step of, upon sensing the activation button being pressed in the non-activation state, switching to the activation state and causing the predetermined operation to be executed in the mobile communication terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
