To provide a ship desulfurization system capable of reducing the risk that exhaust gas is discharged to the outside of the absorption tower without being desulfurized.SOLUTION: The ship desulfurization system desulfurizes exhaust gas exhausted from exhaust gas generation equipment onboard a ship, comprises: an absorption tower which includes an absorption tower main body defining the internal space; a spraying device which can spray a washing liquid on exhaust gas flowing through the internal space; and a filling material which is charged into a filling layer provided in the internal space and is layered vertically, the filling material causing the washing liquid to come into gas-liquid contact with exhaust gas passing through the filling layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
