To achieve a retention mechanism capable of positioning a plural kind of members having a different rib form.SOLUTION: A retention mechanism is a retention mechanism used for a unit comprising: a retention member having a retention space and an opening part; and a retention target member inserted in the retention space from the opening part and held in the retention space. The retention mechanism comprises: engagement grooves which are opposite each other, are provided one of a retention surface in the retention space and a retention target surface of the retention target member, and are extended along an insertion direction in which the retention target member is inserted; and a first rib and a second rib that are provided to the other direction of the retention surface and the retention target surface, are extended to the insertion direction, and are inserted into the engagement groove. The engagement groove includes: a first groove part for positioning the retention member or the retention target member having the first rib by being engaged with the first rib; and a second groove part for positioning the retention member or the retention target member having the second rib by being engaged with the second rib having a form different from that of the first rib.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
