PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column and beam joint structure that can secure strength of a weld part at an end part of a beam without largely widening the width of flange plates, does not need to increase a column cross section, and can achieve economical design, as well as can prevent occurrence of ductility breaking and brittle fracture due to earthquake force at a column and beam joint part and can maintain desired flexural yield strength of the beam, and provide a manufacturing method of an H-shaped steel for the beam of the column and beam joint structure.;SOLUTION: One end part 5 of a beam 4 comprises flange plates 11 and 12 in the vertical direction and a web plate 14 attached to surfaces 13 where the flange plates 11 and 12 face to each other. Each of the flange plates 11 and 12 comprises flange plate swollen parts 23 extending to a width direction B orthogonal to a longer direction A in a horizontal direction H.
