PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for blood vessel puncture and a blood vessel puncture apparatus provided with the same, the device being capable of reducing a difficulty of a procedure with an image obtained via ultrasonic communication.SOLUTION: An auxiliary device for blood vessel puncture includes an ultrasonic probe 31 to communicate ultrasonically with a blood vessel peripheral region BB of a subject to be punctured with puncture means, and image formation means 40 to display an image of the blood vessel peripheral region BB on the basis of the communication by the ultrasonic probe 31. The ultrasonic probe 31 is adjustable in position relative to the subject. The image formation means 40 is placed at least adjacent to a body of the subject while displaying the image of a cross section of the blood vessel peripheral region in a direction (X-Y direction) substantially perpendicular to a depth direction of puncture (Z direction) so as to guide the direction of puncture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
