The present disclosure is related to the cultivation process of Dactylopius coccus in temperate climates, characterized by performed in a greenhouse with the following dimensions: 10 meters wide, 8 meters deep and 2.5 meters high, allowing space savings and optimizing the necessary material. Prickly pear cactus and the broodstock of the insect, the prickly pear cactus are separated from each other every 8 cm, allowing a better development of the species by staying closer between the organisms of a prickly pear cactus and the one next to it. This makes possible that the biological cycle is concluded at the same time it would conclude in a dry-warm climate. The second novelty is the presence of a prickly pear cactus platform that will take full advantage of the broodstock. The project is very important; since it is the first time, it has been carried out in a temperate-humid climate. In this case, the last parameter, although it is present in greater quantity than in other greenhouses and in the open sky, instead of harming, it benefits the insect, since it has been observed that the yield is very high.
