An automated guided vehicle according to an embodiment includes various devices. An input device receives designation of route identifying information corresponding to a route formed of tracks. A reading device acquires a piece of identification information from each of predetermined positions on the tracks. A memory device stores a route file including an operation command corresponding to an operation to be executed at each predetermined position corresponding to each piece of identification information, in association with the route identifying information. A control device reads the route file associated with the route identifying information corresponding to the designation received by the input device from the memory device, and controls operation of the driving device on the basis of each piece of identification information acquired by the reading device and the read route file.
