A controlled release oral pharmaceutical composition, comprising a population of particles containing isosorbide dinitrate and hydralazine, or a salt thereof, wherein at least a portion of the particles comprises: a modified release coating, comprising a material selected from methacrylic acid copolymers, such that the composition, after oral administration to a subject, delivers the isosorbide dinitrate and hydrazine, or one of its salts, in a pulsatile or zero order manner.
