A microwave sterilization method for sterilizing a liquid and a microwave sterilization machine. The microwave sterilization method sterilizes a liquid by heating using a microwave sterilization machine; since the liquid is sterilized by means of microwaves at relatively low temperature, the loss of thermo-sensitive components in the liquid is reduced, and the flavor of the liquid is better maintained. A thermal cycling system (10) is provided between a first heat exchanger (6) and a second heat exchanger (8) to perform heat recovery on the sterilized liquid in the second heat exchanger (8) and to heat a liquid to be sterilized in the first heat exchanger (6), thereby reducing energy consumption and reducing the power and manufacturing difficulty of a microwave sterilizer (1) in the microwave sterilization machine.
