The present invention provides a method for producing a somatic cell chimera using pluripotent cells which have been genetically manipulated so as to not differentiate into specific cell types. In particular, the present invention provides a method for preventing pluripotent cells from contributing to the brain or the reproductive glands in a somatic cell chimeric animal.
