The method comprises: monitoring an intensity value of ambient light, and photographing at least one frame of a human face image when the amount of change in the intensity value exceeds a set threshold value; analyzing the at least one frame of a human face image by means of a pre-configured human face state understanding model, and determining a user state corresponding to the at least one frame of a human face image; and matching a corresponding brightness adjustment scheme for the user state and the intensity value, and adjusting the screen brightness according to the brightness adjustment scheme.
