The container is purged with purge gas between the ceiling drive vehicle and the container destination. A running rail of a local bogie is provided below the running rail of the ceiling running vehicle and above the container transfer destination to run a local bogie having a hoist for raising and lowering the container. A purge belt capable of placing the container below the running rail of the local bogie and not covering the upper portion of the container transfer destination is provided and the purge gas is supplied by the purge gas supply device to the container placed on the purge platform.
