The present invention discloses a food waste reduction system and a food waste reduction method designed to reduce and recycle food waste. The food waste reduction system of the present invention comprises: a first conveying unit for conveying food waste; a crushing unit for crushing the food waste conveyed from the first conveying unit; a second conveying unit for conveying the crushed products produced as a result of crushing the food waste in the crushing unit; a decomposing unit including two or more decomposing and fermenting devices for dehydrating and fermenting the crushed products conveyed by the second conveying unit; and a control unit for monitoring the entire system and allocating the crushed products in the decomposing unit and controlling the same.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
