Hybrid Seawater Desalination Aapparatus and Method

The present invention relates to a hybrid seawater desalination apparatus and a hybrid seawater desalination method. The hybrid seawater desalination apparatus comprises: a forward osmosis unit for receiving pretreated inflow seawater and treated inflow wastewater to dilute the inflow seawater and the treated inflow wastewater, and separating the mixed water into a first concentrate and diluted water for discharge; and a reverse osmosis unit for receiving the diluted water from the forward osmosis unit and separating the diluted water into produced water and a second concentrate for discharge. According to one embodiment of the present invention, seawater having high salt content can be diluted into seawater having low salt content through a forward osmosis process.
