According to the present invention, the manufacturing method of a power cable direct surge protector for AC direct input LED lighting comprises: a step (S610) of preparing the PCB substrate (110) on which the surge filter (130) is mounted on the circuit pattern (114); a step (S620) of allowing the input side power cable (Ci) and the output side power cable (Co) to be individually connected to an input terminal (111) and an output terminal (112); a step (S630) of inserting the PCB substrate (110), in which the surge filter (130) is mounted and to which the input side power cable (Ci) and the output side power cable (Co) are connected, into a cavity of an injection mold; and a step (S640) of injecting a resin into the cavity of the injection mold to form a casing (150) for hermetically embedding the PCB substrate (110) on which the surge filter (130) is mounted. Accordingly, the present invention has an advantage of increasing maintenance workability of the surge protector.
