VP4 Novel Vibrio specific bacteriophage VP4 and antibacterial composition comprising the same

The present invention relates to a novel vibrio-specific bacteriophage VP4, and more specifically, to an antibacterial composition comprising the vibrio-specific bacteriophage VP4. The bacteriophage VP4 according to the present invention is very highly specific to vibrio, is infected to vibrio to grow in the vibrio, thereby having an excellent lytic activity. In addition, the bacteriophage VP4 is strong to physiochemical stimulus. In addition, the bacteriophage VP4 of the present invention is not infected to other hosts such as humans, animals, plants, except bacteria, thereby solving problems of antibiotic-resistant bacteria caused by abuse and misuse of antibiotics, residual antibiotics in foods and a wide host range. Accordingly, the present invention may be used in antibiotic compositions, feed additive compositions, feed, and disinfectants or detergents fields.
