The present invention relates to a hydrocarbon adsorbent with metal-impregnated zeolite particles having regular mesopores and a manufacturing method thereof. The hydrocarbon adsorbent in which zeolite particles having 2-10 nm sized mesopores regularly formed therein are impregnated with metal cations and metal oxides according to the present invention has regular mesopores and can be controlled with regard to a Si/Al ratio and mesoporosity, so that the hydrocarbon adsorbent shows increased adsorption capacity for hydrocarbons in a cold start section and can rapidly oxidize the hydrocarbons upon desorption thereof, thereby reducing the discharge of exhaust gas produced in automobiles and industries.
