It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel process for preparing celecylide and derivatives thereof, an intermediate of celecylide and a novel ceruleolide derivative. A novel dexeptipeptide, tetradepsipeptide, octadepsipeptide and dodecadepsipeptide are prepared. Then, a cyclization reaction is carried out by the formation of intramolecular amide bonds in the linear precursors of celulanide or derivatives thereof composed of the novel depsipeptides.
