FIELD: test equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technique of investigation of deformation-strength properties of materials, mainly of vegetable origin. Installation comprises a fixed housing with two opposed supports located on it with support surfaces transverse to the compression line for attachment of the analyzed sample between them, each support has a centrically located relative to compression line retainer for analyzed sample with a part protruding in front of the supporting surface, at least one of the supports is movable and connected to the drive of its movement along the compression line, as well as the measurement device, including the automated one, of the current values of deformation-strength compression characteristics. At that, the installation has limit stop of supports and the protruding part of the retainer for the sample of each support is thin-wall plates, including blade type, located radially, besides, directions of their middle planes are combined with the compression line, and height of plates above the support surface is 0.05–0.30 of diameter of analyzed sample.;EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of results of deformation-strength compression tests for elongated samples of materials mainly of vegetable origin.;1 cl, 5 dwg
